CLAAS is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of agricultural engineering equipment. The company, with corporate headquarters in Harsewinkel, Westphalia, Germany is the European market leader in combine harvesters with annual sales of more than 5 billion Euro per year. It has more than 12,000 workers worldwide.

EHPEA Board and Executive Director invite Chia Tai to supply hybrid vegetable seed to Ethiopia.

EHPEA has undertaken discussions with the senior management of Chia Tai, a leading vegetable seed company in Thailand that supply vegetable seeds to more than 49 countries.

EHPEA Board members briefed the senior management of the company on the current reforms being underway to create an enabling environment for the seed sector operators in Ethiopia.

Vice president of Chia Tai has expressed the readiness of their company to supply their improved hybrid vegetable seeds in Ethiopia.

Both parties have agreed to bolster the business ties.

Chia Tai Seed has more than 485 improved species of vegetable seeds and its products are supplied to more than 49 countries. The company was established in 1921.
