EHPEA TVET Center conducted ‘Advanced Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Management System’ training for its member farms at its head Office. 

The program emphasized the enhancement of workplace safety culture, improvement of risk management practices, and the safeguarding of farm communities. A significant component of the training involved experience sharing visit to exemplary farms, where participants exchanges their best practices.

Following the training, the attendees engaged in discussions about future directions and implementation strategies.

The government’s voucher duty incentive scheme helps domestic products competitiveness in the international market.

A validation workshop which took place recently addressed a long-standing challenge: the lack of a national standard for input-output coefficients for Horticulture products.

Representatives from the Ministry of Industry, Ministry of Agriculture, Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association, and horticulture farms participated to validate the draft directive.

Issuing beneficiary certificates

Draft input-output coefficients

Farm representatives shared their concerns about implementing the new directive.

The Ministry of Industry committed to consider those comments forwarded by the participants and to finalize the directive by the end of June 2024.

This is a positive step towards a more efficient and transparent voucher duty scheme!
