The eighth edition of Hortiflora Expo, officially and colorfully opened today in the presence of senior government officials, growers, investors, international buyers, input suppliers and pertinent international supply chain actors of horticulture.

In his opening remarks Dr. Girma Amente, Minister of the Ministry of Agriculture reiterated the readiness of his government to create a better business climate for hortipreneurs and potential investors in the sector.

The expo will be conducted for the coming three days till Friday.

Nearly 100 local exhibitors and buyers and input suppliers from 35 countries are taking part in the show.

The show is quite important to lure more investment to Ethiopia and also for concluding business deals, according to Nega Mequanint who is the incumbent Board Chair of EHPEA.
