The Ethiopian Cargo & Logistics Services and members of the Ethiopian Horticulture Producers and Exporters Association (EHPEA) recently came together at EHPEA headquarters to strengthen their partnership and plan for the future. The meeting was a great success, creating a platform for open discussion and collaboration.
The main goal of the gathering was to create a unified plan for the upcoming fiscal year, ensuring that Ethiopian Cargo has the capacity to meet the needs of horticulture producers and get their products to key markets around the world.
Ethiopian Cargo also shared impressive results from the last fiscal year, announcing that they successfully met their targets for horticultural product uplift.
During the meeting, farm representatives openly discussed current challenges and explored ways to work more seamlessly together.
Mr. Tewodros Zewdie, the Executive Director of EHPEA, highlighted the importance of this collaboration. He emphasized that Ethiopian Cargo and producers must work “hand in hand” to increase the volume of products being sent to markets destination like China and the USA. He also encouraged the airline to diversify its services for fruits and vegetables and to offer competitive, affordable pricing. He also added that Ethiopian Cargo quality freighter service to Europe has contributed a lot to link Ethiopian based producers with buyers in the Netherlands and other European countries.
This collaborative approach is a significant step toward a more efficient and profitable future for Ethiopia’s horticulture industry. By working together, these organizations are poised to overcome obstacles, expand into new markets, and drive further growth.
