A validation workshop to review a study document on the development of cool logistics infrastructure and reefer containers cost in the horticulture sector took place today at Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel.



The study was commissioned by EHPEA to address the constraints and improve competitiveness of the Ethiopian fruits and vegetables export focused on; Ethiopian cool logistics infrastructure network across Ethiopia &Djibouti, Examine the cost of reefer containers and rail way transport, review the processes and requirements getting export linked incentives, and propose possible interventions for consideration and way forward.
Invited stakeholders drawn from Ministry of Agriculture, Ethiopian Agriculture Authority, Ethiopian investment commission, Agricultural Transformation Institute, Ethiopian Airlines, Ethiopian Shipping and Logistics Service Enterprise, Horticulture producers exporters and other 20 pertinent stakeholders reflect their comments and opinions which can enrich the document.
Based on the findings and recommendations of the study document position paper will be produced and submitted to policymakers as an input to support the sector.
