Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA), is a non-profit, nongovernmental organization, established in 2002, whose members are legally registered and operating in the horticulture production and export business. The mission of EHPEA is to promote the competitive position of the Ethiopian horticulture sector in the global market.
EHPEA, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation and Digital Opportunity Trust, has entered the implementation phase of an innovative Urban Vertical Farming project in Addis Ababa and surrounding urban centers. The initiative promotes climate-smart, space-efficient horticulture technologies tailored for urban environments. It aims to create jobs, strengthen urban food security, and enhance household income opportunities.
To ensure its effectiveness and full-scale implementation, EHPEA is looking for firms or experts to provide service on Training of Trainers (TOT) trainers’ and partner organizations experts theoretical and practical skills in vertical farming, development of a comprehensive curriculum and related training materials and recommendation of appropriate, affordable and scalable vertical farming technologies that align with the objectives and context of the project.
Eligible firms/experts are invited to submit detailed technical and financial proposals outlining their proposed methodology, timeline, and relevant experience in undertaking similar assignments.
How to Apply
- Interested firms can collect the Terms of Reference (ToR) from EHPEA office Finance and Administration Department or can be downloaded from EHPEA website
- Submit both their technical and financial proposals in separate envelopes within Fifteen (15) working days from the first date of the announcement.
- Both envelopes with bid documents shall be clearly marked as “Service Provision on Vertical Farming”.
- EHPEA reserves the right to accept or reject any of its bids.
