EHPEA developed its own Code of Practice launched & applicable since 2007.The Code contains requirements; Good Agricultural Practices (G.A.P), Employment, Safety and Welfare of Employees & Protection of the Environment. The Association has provided support to the member farms including coaching, internal audit and adequate training to implement the code. Trainers undertake a baseline assessment along with farm staff and an action plan to prepare the farm before the external auditor visit is done ahead of time. Farm staffs are assigned to take training for internal auditing, environment and safety, and other relevant training that is provided by EHPEA. The external audit applied by the Control Union Certification (CUC). The code has three levels Bronze, Silver which is being benchmarked with Global G.A.P and Gold.
