The Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA) has successfully conducted a two-day Workforce Nutrition Education and Food Safety Management Training at Central Hotel, Hawassa, bringing together 25 management and technical team members from horticulture, garment, and textile companies.

It has drawn participants who play key roles in creating and sustaining healthy and safe workplace environments, including HR Managers, Compliance Heads, and Safety and Environment Department Heads.

With interactive approach, the training aimed to strengthen the capacity of management and technical teams on workforce nutrition education, food safety, and effective management coordination mechanisms.

With emphasis on a critical role of management bodies in taking leadership, coordinating stakeholders, and facilitating the implementation of nutrition education and food safety initiatives at the workplace, the training focused on practical approaches which help participants integrate nutrition and food safety into existing workplace systems, policies, and employee support mechanisms.
