The Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA), in collaboration with Trade Mark Africa, inked a joint agreement to develop a comprehensive e-learning and knowledge management systems tailored to the increasing needs of Ethiopia’s horticulture sector today at Skylight Hotel.
The project, funded by the European Union (EU) through the Agence Française de Développement (AfD), with a grant of ETB 8.15 million (€139k).
The Association has been relentlessly working to elevate the capacity of commercial farms through its accredited TVET Center to date.
On the signing ceremony it was stated that realizing the full potential of the E-learning and Knowledge Management Systems in the sector requires collaborative efforts from all stakeholders. Industry players, including growers, exporters, and logistics providers, must embrace digital transformation and invest in technology infrastructure and capacity building.
This project will leverage interested individuals to be equipped with advanced tools to boost their productivity and market competitiveness globally.
