Sher Ethiopia Plc, known for its active engagement on CSR activities especially focused on nurturing the new generation with adequate education free of charge, opened its second new Elementary School in Adami Tulu.

The school launched colorfully in the presence of his excellency Mr. Usman Tuse, Deputy Mayor of Batu/Ziway Town, Mr. Kedir, Head of Batu Education office and Mr. Aswin Endeman, Manager Business Support and CSR of Sher Ethiopia, in the presence of Adami Tulu community representatives, Elders, Sher Ethiopia management representatives, teachers, and with a total number of 192 students.

The first Sher kindergarten school opened in 2019, and currently holds 342 students. With the new school Sher is planning to add 4 new classrooms each year at the new Elementary school compound which will increase the number of students to 1500 in eight years’ time.

Is the largest rose grower in the world, where up to 4 million roses processed and transported to the airport in Addis Ababa every day, from where they are flown to Europe for further distribution. This makes Sher Ethiopia the largest rose grower in the world and the biggest supplier of roses in Europe.
The company also created job opportunities for about 12,000 employees and one of the major hard currency earners to the country.
